We want to help you to develop your skills and offer an extensive range ofThe successful candidate can expect to work 35 hours per week (excluding breaks), five shifts out seven including weekends. Further details about our employee benefits .The company reserves the right to apply enhanced short-listing criteria.To find out more about Hastings Hotels and what our company offers please visitHastings Hotels is an Equal Opportunities Employer.About the roleTo receive and seat guests upon arrival in the Restaurant/Lounge ensuring the Hastings service standards are maintained and an excellent guest experience is provided.To meet, greet and seat guests and provide them with the menu and wine list.To serve pre-dinner drinks and canapés.Offer menu recommendations upon request and upsell additional products when appropriate.To be knowledgeable about the facilities and services within the hotel and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.To ensure you assist guests with any reasonable request for hotel services.To ensure all guest enquires are handled efficiently and effectively.To provide the highest standards of service to guests, ensuring all guests needs and expectations are met.To ensure that complaints and difficulties are dealt with courteously and in an efficient manner reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.To assist restaurant staff in the clearing and set-up of restaurant/lounge tables.To ensure guest areas are maintained in a clean and tidy manner in accordance with departmental standards.To ensure all equipment and materials are used in correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.To work effectively with colleagues to a ensure harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.To maintain the security of stock areas at all times, immediately reporting any breaches.To comply with all health, safety, hygiene and licensing policies and procedures.Any other duties as required by Management.About YouWe would love you to have some similar previous experience, but this is not essential as our Food and Beverage Team will provide you with full training.About the companyOur vision is to be recognised as a prestigious, family company providing the finest in Irish hospitality with style and excellence.Required Criteria
