- Work with sensitivity and an understanding of the issues facing front line staff
- Displaying the core DSFS values
- Listen to clients and engage in productive discussions about supply options
- Provide specialist day to day logistics knowledge and advice to clients
- Encourage users to utilise the materials management supply route and expand ward / department specific electronic catalogues
- Influence user choice to standardise products and reduce costs
- Promptly and proactively resolve queries and resolve complaints
- work closely with procurement to support standardisation
- GCSE English Language and Maths both at Grade C or above or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge
- ECDL
- Must have experience of working within a fast paced environment
- Must be physically fit and able to undertake manual handling duties
- Knowledge/experience of manual handling procedures and health and safety.
- Ability to use computerised systems for the booking in, ordering of goods and materials management (possession of ECDL desirable)
- Experience within a Stores or Distribution environment with knowledge of receipt, storage and distribution procedures
- Experience within a NHS environment
- Must be able to work as part of a team
- Must be able to work on own initiative
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of following policies and procedures
- Working knowledge of in-house computer systems
- Must be able to prioritise workloads
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality
