Job RequirementsEssential Responsibilities
  • Design of HP, IP and LP steampath layouts with impulse blading technology using inhouse and state of the art tools.
  • Application of solid engineering principles and existing standards to design and analyse steampath components for a wide variety of applications ranging from small industrial applications to large nuclear.
  • Adaption of legacy designs to leverage modern manufacturing processes.
  • Contributing to root cause analyses of failures.
  • Developing best practices in collaboration with controlled title holders.
  • Capturing, standardising, and delivering design standards and methods to support the global team.
  • Communicating within supplier and customers as required to support the business objectives.
  • Occasional international travel to suppliers and customers as required.
Desired Characteristics
  • Solid technical expertise in steam turbine technology and related domains.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD tools (Catia V5 preferred) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to manage multiple diverse projects, reprioritising effectively when urgent needs arise.
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical design methodologies and principles to ensure accurate steampath layouts.

  • Problem solving skills with the ability to analyse complex issues and deliver practical outcomes.
Work Experience
  • Masters degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering focused on steam turbine technology.
  • Strong expertise in applying analytical methods in mechanical design and mechanical integrity subjects.
