- Install, test, troubleshoot, and optimise new and existing audio processing solutions
- Provide expert technical input into the development and deployment of audio infrastructure
- Design and drive deployment processes that ensure seamless roll-out of audio services
- Deliver re-engineering and customer projects across broadcast and satellite audio platforms
- Lead or support on system design for new product development and cloud integrations
- Act as Design Authority (DA) for audio-related workstreams; Lead Design Authority (LDA) on smaller projects
- Supervise and manage 3rd party contractors to ensure delivery meets Arqiva's standards
- Document build procedures and contribute to continuous improvement of technical policies
- Ensure audio systems comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Apply analytical problem-solving to quickly resolve operational and technical issues
- Collaborate across product, engineering, and operations teams to support new deployments
- Stay current with the latest advancements in audio processing and broadcast technology
- Support integration of legacy platforms into modern, cloud-based environments
- Bring a commercial mindset to all work, with focus on efficiency and value creation
- Audio Processing: Strong understanding of digital and analogue audio systems
- Multiplexing & Encoding: Knowledge of broadcast multiplexing and audio encoding technologies
- Diagnostics: Skilled in the use of engineering tools and software to troubleshoot and resolve faults
- Cloud Integration: Familiarity with cloud platforms and hybrid audio delivery architectures
- Documentation & Standardisation: Experienced in writing build guides and setting technical standards
- Project Execution: Able to manage or contribute to multiple technical workstreams and deadlines
- Communication: Clear communicator with ability to present complex information to technical and non-technical teams
- Collaboration: Strong cross-functional teamwork with engineering, field ops, and product teams
- Continuous Improvement: A mindset focused on innovation and ongoing service optimisation
- Leadership: Capable of influencing technical decisions and leading contractor delivery
- Budget Awareness: Understands commercial impacts of engineering decisions
- Proven experience working in an audio engineering or broadcast environment
- Familiar with audio processing, multiplexing, and broadcast distribution
- Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and system integrations
- Experience using diagnostic tools and problem-solving in high-pressure scenarios
- Previous involvement in managing external vendors or contractors
- Experience with project tools and delivering technical solutions to deadlines
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field is beneficial
