A leader in precision process weighing and measurement systems is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team in Sevenoaks. They deliver reliable, high-quality engineering services to a broad range of industrial sectors.The Field Service Engineer is a field-based role suited to experienced engineers who thrive in a hands-on environment and enjoy the autonomy of working on-site. You will be responsible for the calibration, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of industrial weighing and measurement equipment across customer sites throughout the UK, with occasional international assignments.Key Responsibilities: Field Service Engineer
- Calibrate, commission, and troubleshoot on-site process weighing systems using F1/M1 test weights, flow meters, and force calibration rigs
- Install and commission belt weighers and boiler leak detection systems
- Calibrate instruments for temperature, pressure, pH, conductivity, and magnet strength
- Conduct off-site repairs of scales and balances at company headquarters
- Complete service reports and calibration certificates accurately and promptly
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies
- Provide occasional support for assembly and testing activities at the company’s headquarters
- Participate in a weekend work rota (one Saturday in every three)
- Collaborate with colleagues on joint service jobs
- Travel extensively across the UK, including overnight stays when required
- ONC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (HNC preferred)
- Time-served engineer or equivalent hands-on field experience
- Strong background in the service and calibration of process weighing equipment
- Comfortable working independently and under pressure
- Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively
- Proficient in diagnosing faults in weighing and measurement systems
- Sound knowledge of electrical diagnostics and calibration tools
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics
- Temperature calibration experience would be beneficial
- Exposure to food hygiene or regulated industrial environments would be advantageous
- Familiarity with weighing systems in silos, platforms, and industrial control processes is preferable
