📅 Contract: Temp-to-PermWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with Autism (ASC) in a specialist school based in Leeds (LS8). This role is perfect for someone who is calm, consistent, and focused on helping children with additional needs reach their full potential in a structured and supportive environment.You’ll work alongside experienced staff to provide one-to-one support, helping the pupil to access learning, manage behaviour, and develop key life and communication skills.🧩 Key Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 support to a child with Autism, adapting learning activities to meet their individual needs.Promote a calm and structured learning environment, following individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets.Assist with emotional regulation, communication, and transitions throughout the school day.Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to implement tailored strategies.Support with personal care if required (training will be provided).✅ About You:Experience supporting children or young people with Autism / ASC or other special educational needs.Confident in using positive behaviour support techniques and maintaining consistent routines.Calm, patient, and reliable with a strong commitment to inclusive education.Able to build trusting relationships and maintain professional boundaries.Team player who is willing to learn and take direction from experienced SEN staff.🎁 What We Offer:A long-term
