oversight and delivery of decision systems strategy configuration used within the business to drive and achieve positive outcomes for customers, partners, and the company. This role involves working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, delivering significant change and book of work,
collaborating with various teams to optimize decision automation and improve customer/product/credit risk/fraud/KYC journeys. The ideal candidate will have solid UK financial services
experience leading end-to-end decision system change for unsecured products within a scale up/growth mindset.Key responsibilities:
- Lead the credit decisioning strategy deliveries to optimize
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on
- Collaborate with wider technical teams to optimize the customer experience as part of new and existing customer decisioning.
- Develop monitoring and tracking for decisioning platform i.e. key risk indicators (KRIs) to reduce latency and ensure decisioning aligns with the company's risk appetite.
- Engage with key stakeholders to present insights and drive strategic decisions.
- Facilitate the delivery of new business and existing customer strategies, incorporating long-term aspirations within the decision system designs.
- Design decision waterfalls to capture exceptions and leaks within logic and create monitoring of decision flows.

- Proven experience maintaining and configuring decisioning systems/platforms in credit cards or consumer finance.
- Strong understanding of credit risk, fraud prevention, KYC compliance and underwriting.
- Experience with Zoral or similar platforms (Powercurve, TRIAD, Pega, etc.).
- Familiarity with APIs (TransUnion, Experian, CIFAS, etc.) and credit processing platforms (TSYS/TS2).
- Ability to lead decision systems change
- SQL or Python skills for data interrogation and prototyping.
- Able to code to a high standard/level – JavaScript strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with data-driven decisioning.
- Experience in strategy deployment via CI/CD pipelines and governance.
- Experience with alternative data sources and AI-enabled decisioning.
- Exposure to pricing and multi-product underwriting.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance in financial services.
