  • BEng (Hons) Degree in Engineering, plus minimum of 5 years industrial experience;
  • Experience of Detail Stress Analysis using Hand-Calculation Techniques;
  • Extensive experience of using MSC Patran /Nastran / Siemens NX Nastran;
  • Basic knowledge of modelling and analysis of composite materials, as well their manufacturing process;
  • Capable of writing clear and concise strength summary reports demonstrating compliance;
  • Working as part of a multi-discipline team supporting trials, production, design office and manufacturing teams;
  • Working towards professional membership registration through either IMechE or IET.

In return, we can offer an exciting and challenging career path.About the RoleWe are recruiting for a Stress Engineer, initially on a 6 month contract basis to be based on-site at our Ampthill, Bedfordshire offices.This role will suit an experienced Stress Engineer who is capable of undertaking detailed stress analysis using both classical hand-calculations and FE modelling primarily of complex metallic structures and assemblies.The candidate will have a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in a critical engineered product environment (Defence / Aerospace / Automotive / Motorsport industry).Working Schedule4xFlex
