Haringey Personality Disorder Pathway - Senior Clinician, Band 7 (OT, Social worker, psychologist, psychotherapist RMN) , temporary, maternity leave coverWe currently have a vacancy for a senior clinician to join our well established and supportive team.The successful applicant will have experience working with patients who have a diagnosis of Personality Disorder. They will have undertaken MBT and/or SCM training or have experience in teams using these approaches.Holding a caseload of patients within the Pathway who are part of the MBT or SCM programme, They will deliver group or individual treatment as well as completing assessments and providing supervision to junior staff. There will be opportunities to develop both clinical and managerial roles within the post.Within the PD pathway there is an emphasis on team based, multi-disciplinary decision making. There is close liaison with other community mental health teams and acute services. Supervision is provided individually and in groups. This lends itself to a supportive environment where risk management is shared in the process of treatment planning and delivery.Main duties of the jobTo provide specialist Mentalisation Based Treatment (MBT) and SCM to a caseload of individuals, and facilitate groups in the Personality Disorder PathwayLiaise with other professionals to provide continuity of care across acute care, Primary care teams, Core mental health teams, and the PD Pathway.Undertake general mental health assessments and specialist assessments for personality disorderFormulate and implement treatment plans and provide Structured Clinical Management / Mentalisation-based therapy.Provide supervision to junior members of the teamParticipate in the day to day emotional work of the MDT, and overall service development and maintenance.About usNLFT is a Foundation Trust providing local, regional and national healthcare services.
