The school is seeking a passionate and skilled SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team and help make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with teaching staff to design and deliver engaging learning activities tailored to individual needs.
- Take a holistic approach to supporting students’ emotional wellbeing, collaborating with families, staff, and external professionals.
- Support the creation and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Behaviour Plans, and Risk Assessments.
- Build therapeutic relationships with students, offering consistent and compassionate support.
- Experience working with SEN or a strong desire to support children with additional needs.
- Solid understanding of SEMH and a commitment to professional growth in this area.
- Confident in managing challenging behaviour with a calm and proactive approach.
- Reliable and able to commit to regular working days (full or part-time).
- Holds a valid DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willing to apply for one.
- Has relevant training or qualifications to support learners with complex needs.
