We’re proud to be supporting a well-regarded, inclusive school in the High Wycombe area that is dedicated to creating a supportive and nurturing environment for its students. The school is seeking a passionate and skilled SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team and help make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with teaching staff to design and deliver engaging learning activities tailored to individual needs.
  • Take a holistic approach to supporting students’ emotional wellbeing, collaborating with families, staff, and external professionals.
  • Support the creation and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Behaviour Plans, and Risk Assessments.
  • Build therapeutic relationships with students, offering consistent and compassionate support.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Experience working with SEN or a strong desire to support children with additional needs.
  • Solid understanding of SEMH and a commitment to professional growth in this area.
  • Confident in managing challenging behaviour with a calm and proactive approach.
  • Reliable and able to commit to regular working days (full or part-time).
  • Holds a valid DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willing to apply for one.
  • Has relevant training or qualifications to support learners with complex needs.
