We aim to create outstanding opportunities for everyone to learn about nature.We value each of our team members and understand that every role is vital to deliver our mission, so, we provide great benefits* to reward and support you while you work with us.What you’ll be doingAs one of our Housekeeping Assistants* you are a key part of our hospitality team and will play an integral part in ensuring our learning location is clean and tidy for our visitors.Your day to day will involve routine cleaning of our centre. It is important that you have high attention to detail, to be able to recognise areas requiring additional cleaning and where necessary reporting these to your manager.Our learning centre is always busy, so we need team members that are happy to help wherever required. As part of this role, you could also be asked to help our catering operations.Tasks may include setting up the dining room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, working in the kitchen assisting with food preparation or serving food to our visitors.*Kindly note, this role is called a Hospitality & Catering Assistant internally.Please refer to the vacancy pack for further details on the full responsibilities of the role.Where you’ll be basedLocated next to Box Hill in Surrey, the Field Studies Council Juniper Hall centre has beautiful scenery and countryside surroundings yet is very easy to reach by car or public transport.Juniper Hall has two accommodation blocks and can accommodate a maximum of 130 guests.We are fortunate that our learning location has a variety of outdoor field sites in close proximity. This allows our visitors to study numerous subject matters including, grassland and woodland studies, urban and rural regeneration studies, fluvial studies, freshwater ecology, and coastal management.Who we’re looking forYou will take pride in your work, always maintaining excellent hygiene standards, whilst contributing to a friendly welcoming atmosphere.
