The post holder must work as part of a team, have the ability to organise and prioritisetheir own workload on a day to day basis, and observe strict rules about confidentialityat all times. They must also know the limits of their own capabilities and seek directionfrom a Practice nurse, GP, or Practice Manager.Working under the supervision of practice nursing team and strictly in accordance withspecific practice or national guidelines and protocols, the health care assistant willassist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmesof patient care.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide efficient, professional care to patientsCarry out BMI checksFacilitate routine and 24-hour BP monitoring according to protocols, advisingpatients accordinglyUndertake the collection of intravenous blood samplesCarry out baseline observations such as pulse oximitery, blood pressure,temperature, pulse rate, recording findings accuratelyTo test urine specimens using appropriate equipment and record resultsMonday to Friday , Saturday to Sunday and lots of overtimeShifts available8 am till 2 pm8 am till 6 pm10 am till 6 pm2 pm till 10 pm6 pm till 2 am8 pm till 6 am12 am till 8 am£800 to £1600 week paid weeklylots of overtimePAYE rolespension scheme, medical and dental cover, family covercareer progression
