Statutory Reporting Manager - EMEA FinanceLocation: AylesburyTemp to Perm opportunityWe're seeking a Statutory Reporting Manager to join this high growth business and work within their EMEA finance team, supporting multiple European entities. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong financial reporting experience-ideally two or more years post-qualification.You'll be instrumental in managing statutory reporting across various jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local GAAP, coordinating audits, and driving improvements in reporting and controls. This role also involves updating legacy entities, so we're looking for someone hands-on, organised, and proactive in streamlining processes.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements for multiple European entities, ensuring full compliance with local GAAPs (e.g., French GAAP, German HGB).
  • Manage external audit processes, ensuring timely delivery of documentation and resolution of audit queries.
  • Oversee month-end close activities for selected entities, including review of journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of balance sheet reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and maintaining clean ledgers.
  • Drive the clean-up and modernisation of accounting records for entities requiring legacy updates.
  • Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to gather data, enhance processes, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, with a focus on strengthening statutory reporting and compliance.
  • Maintain adherence to internal controls, group accounting policies, and statutory deadlines.
About You
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least two years post-qualification experience.
  • Strong understanding of European statutory reporting requirements and local GAAPs.
  • Experience managing audits and working with external auditors.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
