
Medical Receptionist

- Greeting patients upon arrival and assisting them with the check-in process.
- Scheduling, cancelling and rearranging appointments.
- Answering phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries, signposting patients to appropriate services or directing calls to staff members.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality in compliance with data protection regulations.
- Processing prescriptions, patient registrations, insurance information, and payments as required.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, emails and managing correspondence.
- Organisational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills to interact with both patients and colleagues.
- Experience of office software applications, including word processing and spreadsheet programs.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Empathy and patience when dealing with patient queries and concerns whilst also maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Previous experience in an office or administrative role is advantageous, particularly within a medical setting.
