I am currently recruiting for a military trained mechanical engineer in and around Wick and Thurso, Caithness who is seeking to become an Engineer Surveyor. My client values ex-military engineers and many of their existing engineers come from the military,The successful Engineer Surveyor will join my client's successful Nationwide business, you will ideally be based in or around Dunbeath, Thrumster and Thurso, Caithness locations. You will be visiting customer sites to complete inspections, examinations and surveys on engineering equipment including but not limited to cranes, lifting equipment and pressurised systems.Please note, due to the location, you will be traveling to the Orkney Islands via boat and flying across to the Shetlands, occasional travel away from home will be required, in return you will earn an attractive salary and benefit from ongoing training and development.Engineer Surveyor Requirements:
  • Hold a minimum of an NVQ level 3 (mechanical engineering)
  • A demonstrable background in mechanical engineering.
  • Ability to learn new engineering solutions and disciplines.
  • Knowledge in cranes or lifting equipment would be beneficial.
  • Strong communicator as this is a customer facing role.
  • Flexibility around travel to suit business needs.
  • Full UK driving licence.
