As a part of our accelerated growth, we are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to continue to expand our market leading, contemporary, Servicing platform.As a Senior Software Engineer at Phoebus you will get the opportunity to develop our market-leading platform using modern software engineering practices and methodologies. You will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplined scrum team and the delivery of innovative features and capabilities to our clients, with the active support of Phoebus’s teams and leadership, this is a great opportunity to truly transform the way in which we deliver our core product(s) to our clients.The foundation of the Phoebus product suite is a functionally rich Java and P4 (4GL) application, augmented with a growing variety of API integrations, Web and Digital services, as well as a contemporary, market leading, Cloud Native Digital platform.Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of approximately 5 colleagues in designing, developing, and implementing solutions in collaboration with the Product Owner and Application Architects.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and Scrum Master to plan software releases.
- Manage build activities to prepare software for client releases.
- Uphold standards for producing high-quality code and documentation within the team.
- Attend Agile Scrum ceremonies and contribute effectively within the team.
- Ensure adherence to the Phoebus software development lifecycle process.
- Support system integration testing and contribute to test planning.
- Produce written communication to the required standard.
- Proactively identify and implement service improvements.
- Assist with troubleshooting, environment management, product demonstrations, and provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
- Plan and estimate development activities.
- Ensure code development includes automated unit and integration tests.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to refine requirements and discuss technical specifications with teams.
- Work closely with other team members and stakeholders.
- Provide advice, guidance and support to other engineers.
- Coach and support colleagues to deliver effective solutions.
We are keen on a candidate who is passionate about modern software engineering practices, including Continuous Delivery and can demonstrate extensive software development and delivery experience. We are looking for somebody who has the desire to learn new technologies, techniques, and approaches and who has extensive experience within an Agile Scrum environment.
It is key for you to have strong experience with Jenkins, Maven, JIRA, Artifactory, etc and to be proficient in Git (Bitbucket, GitHub) and SQL and preferable if you have worked with Java, AWS, Springboot, Powershell or Terraform.Phoebus Perks: Why work with us?If you are passionate about learning and development and have a desire to help others grow and succeed, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
