Food Technology TeacherLocation: WalsallStart Date: September 2025Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)About the Role:Here at Teaching Personnel We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Food Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Walsall. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students with a love for cooking, nutrition and practical skills while helping them understand the importance of healthy living.Role Responsbilities:Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4Teach a range of topics including food preparation, nutrition and health and safety in the kitchenPrepare students for GCSE exams through high-quality theory and practical lessonsMaintain a safe and organised classroom environment ensuring compliance with health and safety standardsAssess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to support achievementContribute to extracurricular activities such as cooking clubs and food-related competitionsWork collaboratively with the Design and Technology department to share ideas and resourcesRole Requirements:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualificationA degree in Food Technology, Nutrition or a related subjectStrong subject knowledge with a passion for food educationExcellent classroom management and organisational skills * DBS on the update service or willingness to obtian oneAbility to motivate and inspire students of all abilitiesExperience teaching at secondary level (KS3/KS4 essential)If you are ready to share your passion for food and creativity while making a real difference in students’ lives, we'd love to hear from you.If this role sounds like the perfect fit for you and you meet the requirements, please submit your most up-to-date CV to apply.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
