We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a well-established setting, working with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a highly supportive team of teachers and support staff who are committed to making a difference in the lives of these learners. You’ll have the chance to help children reach their full potential, both academically and personally, within a nurturing and positive environment.Main Duties:
  • Work closely with teachers to support pupils’ learning and social development.
  • Provide emotional, physical, and social support to students, promoting their well-being.
  • Prepare and maintain classroom resources to meet the needs of pupils.
  • Support the delivery of individual and group interventions aimed at improving behaviour and learning outcomes.
  • Supervise and support pupils during project and sporting activities.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and patient individual with a passion for working with children.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both students and staff.
  • A willingness to learn and develop your skills in a SEMH setting.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A DBS check (enhanced) on the Child & Adult Workforce, or a willingness to obtain one.
