A well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Poole is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic PE Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis from September 2025. This full-time position will run for an initial period of six weeks, covering a staff absence within the department.The school has a strong sporting culture and values the role of physical education in promoting student wellbeing, teamwork, and resilience. They are looking for a confident teacher who can engage students of all abilities and maintain high expectations both in and out of the classroom.Key Responsibilities:Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4Plan and adapt sessions to meet a range of physical abilities and learning needsPromote health, fitness, and participation through a variety of sports and physical activitiesMaintain a safe and positive learning environment, both in lessons and during extra-curricular activitiesContribute to the wider school community, including support for sports fixtures and clubs where appropriateThe ideal candidate will:Hold QTS or relevant teaching qualifications (ECTs are welcome to apply)Have experience teaching PE within a secondary school settingDemonstrate excellent communication and organisational skillsBe passionate about physical education and the benefits of an active lifestyleBe reliable, professional, and able to hit the ground running in a busy school environmentThis is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified PE teacher looking for a short-term role in a supportive and well-run school.
