- Technical Drawing and Modelling: Utilising your mastery of Bentley and Autodesk CAD software to produce accurate 3D models and drawings. You will apply an in-depth understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM) principles and methodologies, working within a Common Data Environment (CDE) to support project delivery.
- Quality and Standards Compliance: Ensuring all technical drawings are dimensionally precise and comply with project specifications, relevant industry standards, Codes of Practice, and CDM Regulations. You will interpret instructions from designers to produce unambiguous, high-quality solutions in the appropriate format.
- Innovative Problem-Solving: Proactively addressing complex technical challenges by challenging the brief, proposing innovative solutions, and troubleshooting issues. You will also contribute to the development of more efficient CAD processes and tools to enhance service delivery.
- Collaboration and Communication: Liaising effectively with designers, team members, and AmcoGiffen Project Delivery staff to agree on technical details and ensure clear communication of requirements and change should this occur.
- Project and Site Support: Assisting with site inspections and surveys as needed to inform drawing development, and translating standard and proprietary manufacturer’s details onto working drawings.
- Academic Qualifications: HND Level or equivalent in an appropriate Engineering Qualification.
- Professional Qualifications: Progressing to Membership of a relevant Professional Body e.g. EngTech.
- Level / Type of Experience: 5+ years of experience in a relevant civil engineering or rail environment.
- Experience in rail, bridges, earthworks, drainage and highways interfaces, with related experience of working with AmcoGiffen’s key Clients including Network Rail, Transport for London, The Environment Agency and Canal & River Trust.
- Good spatial awareness and problem solving skills.
- Good literacy and mathematical skills.
- City & Guilds, or equivalent CAD related course qualification.
