This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background who thrives in complex, high-integrity environments — from system integration to safety and security-critical projects.What You’ll Be DoingLeading the design, integration, and testing of electrical/electronic systemsDelivering engineering solutions across the full lifecycle, ensuring safety and performance standardsDriving technical delivery, continuous improvement, and innovationManaging stakeholders and mentoring multidisciplinary teamsPresenting technical findings to internal and external audiencesDue to the classified nature of our work, this role is primarily site-based at AWE.What We’re Looking ForEssential:HNC/HND, NVQ Level 5, or degree in a science/engineering discipline — or equivalent experienceProven experience in leading technical projects and teamsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and people management abilitiesAbility to plan and deliver multiple objectives concurrentlyDesirable Experience:Engineering delivery across safety-critical programmesCost-saving and efficiency improvement initiativesEffective stakeholder engagement and influenceCoaching and developing others within multidisciplinary teamsPromoting high standards in safety, security, and qualityWe ask a lot and set the bar high because our work truly matters.
