MERJE is working with a leading name within the Property / Residential Development Industry to find an astute Accounts Payable Manager to join the team in their West Yorkshire Office.This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, streamline processes, and work with senior management to improve collaboration in a dynamic financial environment.This is an office based roleThe RoleThe Accounts Payable Manager will oversee the Accounts Payable function, manage a team of clerks, develop team members and drive process improvements.Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Manager:
  • Manage and develop a team of AP clerks and improve team co-ordination
  • Improve and streamline AP processes
  • Oversee supplier statement reconciliations
  • Analyse and resolve aged creditor issues and run weekly aged creditor reports
  • Generate and review payment runs in line with timetable
  • Liaise with suppliers, buyers, and site teams
  • Update the Finance Director on weekly progress
  • Generate and review payment runs in line with timetables
Required knowledge and experience for the Accounts Payable Manager role:
  • Proven experience in supervising an AP team
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (COINS experience desirable)
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities
  • Knowledge of sub-contractor processes
