Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and optimize the team of engineering professionals to ensure innovative Keysight Solutions for our Aerospace Defense customers
- Ensure the dynamic allocation of engineering resources as required to support business pursuits effectively and the program managers in delivering customer solutions per agreed requirements and delivery dates
- Drive continuous process and productivity improvements to enable maximum leverage of our engineering professionals
- Build and improve team capabilities in core engineering disciplines including System, mechanical and software so we can further our technical innovations in addressing customer needs.
- Understand and continuously improve the Solutions Lifecycle implementation within AD CS
- Ensure that appropriate controls are in place and operational to meet the security aspects of the work we perform
- Specific role deliverables include:
- Quality – responsible for delivering high quality systems that meet safety and regulatory requirements
- Finance– ensure profitability at both project and overall team level
- Engineering Management – support the personal and career growth of all team members
- Customer Management – our strategy centers on customer intimacy. This means keeping them at the forefront during the delivery and support phases of the Solution Lifecycle. Handling escalations, defect management and recalls as required.
- Management of individual projects as required by overall workload of the team
- Exceptional organizational and operations skills are critical
- Experienced, independent thinker with proven project management experience; ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and stakeholders and deliver results
- Highly responsive with demonstrated ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional relationship building/relationship management skills to establish rapport, build trust and confidence, and manage customer expectations
- Collaborative, team player
- High comfort level working, managing resources, and collaborating in a virtual, global environment
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to change; experience managing change, acting as a change agent to influence others
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in technical field
- Minimum 10 years of managing teams of professionals
- Ability and willingness to obtain UK security clearance
