Internal Communications Manager (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)Hours: Full time - 35 hoursContract: 12 Month Fixed Term ContractLocation: Hybrid Working (Head Office, West Bromwich)The West Brom are looking to recruit an Internal Communications Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract, to join our Marketing team. The role holder will deliver communication activities for colleagues across the business, working with people of all levels to drive engagement both within functions and across the wider business.You will work to ensure all colleagues are engaged with and connected to the West Brom's purpose and strategy, and understand the role they play in delivering it. Working closely with all business areas, particularly our HR Division, our team builds understanding of and engagement with the West Brom's strategy, vision, culture and values through company-wide communication activities using the latest communication technologies and ideas.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver an effective strategic transformation communications and events plan across the Society to ensure all colleagues understand our new vision and brand and are fully engaged throughout all transformation phases.
  • Seek innovative ways to communicate and drive engagement through multiple channels, which support the Society's cultural aims to drive agility, promote innovation, enhance leadership capability and taking a balanced risk approach to decision making.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and employee engagement, and support leaders in becoming effective communicators.
  • Lead on internal communications campaigns and activities through a range of communications channels.
  • Plan and deliver colleague engagement events, as well as key initiatives needed by HR such as diversity data, employer brand proposition and other business change initiatives
  • Design and implement measurement activities that allow us to make data-based decisions on future IC strategy and continuously improve the function.
  • Manage budgets associated with internal communication activities, partnering with the business to ensure value for money.
  • Work closely with the wider Marketing and Communications team to ensure internal and external messages are aligned, and adopt a flexible approach to support the team according to priorities.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Previous experience in leading internal strategic transformation and change communications across an organisation
  • Demonstrable track record of curating and delivering internal change communications and events to ensure all colleagues understand, and are engaged, throughout the transformation programme
  • Excellent storytelling and copywriting skills which are engaging, impactful and memorable for the right reasons
  • The ability to build rapport and strong relationships with multiple key stakeholders and convey information clearly and succinctly to a diverse range of audiences across different locations
  • The ability to question and challenge constructively to ensure delivery of the right solutions for the business.
  • Event management experience to support the delivery of colleague communication events.
  • Ability to work under pressure and liaise confidently at all levels within the business. • Highly organised with excellent project management skills and capable of managing and prioritising multiple projects.
