CNC Setter Operator – Aerospace ManufacturingWe are working with a leading aerospace manufacturer based in Fareham, well known for producing high-precision components for some of the most demanding sectors in engineering.Key Responsibilities:Set and operate CNC lathes and/or milling machines in a high-precision environmentLoad tools, set machine offsets, and adjust basic programs as neededRead and interpret complex aerospace engineering drawings and specificationsPerform basic machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work areaSkills and Experience:Essential:Proven experience setting and operating CNC machines (turning or milling)Strong ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawingsFamiliarity with inspection tools such as micrometers, verniers, and gaugesGood understanding of tolerances, surface finishes, and machining principlesDesirable:Background in aerospace or precision engineeringExperience with multi-axis or live tooling CNC machinesUnderstanding of lean manufacturing and 5S practices
