Alongside this, we provide flexibility and ongoing professional support to ensure your success.At Tutor Doctor, we guarantee a minimum of 5 hours of work per week (Monday to Friday), with the option to extend up to 25 hours if desired and potentially even further!We’ll work with you to schedule sessions around your existing commitments, giving you the freedom to balance tutoring with your personal life.Main Responsibilities:
  • Delivering personalised 1:1 tuition in the Solihull area.
  • Preparing and delivering tutoring sessions to best meet the student’s SEN requirements – particularly ADHD and ASC/ASD.
  • Develop individual curriculum for students.
  • Clarifying and teaching subject matter.
  • Assessing and reporting on students’ knowledge on a regular basis.
  • Being a mentor to students.
  • Ensuring the safeguarding of the students you work with.
Qualifications and SkillsOur ideal Tutors:
  • Are experienced in working with SEN students
  • Must be a qualified primary or secondary school teacher with 2+ years’ experience.
  • Have a good working knowledge of how to work with SEN students
  • Care about helping their students improve and achieve academically.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Are flexible, organised and reliable.
  • Have their own transport and are happy to work in students’ homes.
Key Requirements:
  • Demonstrated success in a Teaching or Tutoring role.
  • Ideally have QTS
  • Passionate about helping students and young people grow and achieve.
  • Outstanding record of academic achievement.
  • Be committed to the safeguarding of all young people.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends.
  • Passionate about coaching and mentoring others.
  • DBS certification.
