This position is perfect for an individual with a background in student support and behaviour management, who is dedicated to creating a caring and secure school environement.As a Pastoral Lead, you will play a key role in supporting students’ emotional and social needs, promoting their personal growth, and helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive school community.As a Pastoral Lead, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing guidance and support to students facing emotional, social, or behavioural difficulties.
- Serving as a key contact for addressing pastoral issues within the school community.
- Collaborating with families, staff, and outside professionals to ensure student wellbeing.
- Fostering positive behaviour and applying restorative approaches where appropriate.
- Keeping thorough records and tracking students’ pastoral development.
- Contributing to safeguarding practices and promoting regular school attendance.
- Proven experience in pastoral care, mentoring, or supporting behaviour in educational settings.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Sound understanding of safeguarding protocols and child protection guidelines.
- Calm, compassionate, and proactive approach to addressing challenges and supporting student wellbeing.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
