Key skills
- Supervise and coordinate mechanical works on-site, including piping, plating, and steel erection.
- Ensure compliance with all project specifications, engineering drawings, and UK regulatory requirements.
- Oversee subcontractors and direct hire labour to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
- Act as a key figure in implementing CDM duties for contractors, ensuring safe systems of work and proper control of work activities.
- Lead Permit to Work and Putting People to Work processes in line with UK CDM best practices.
- Maintain strong interface with HSE team, project management, and quality control personnel.
- Support planning and sequencing of mechanical activities to minimise delays and conflicts.
- Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and site audits.
- Ensure correct materials and equipment are available and stored/used correctly on site.
