A very exciting opportunity has become available for an Optometrist on a full-time, permanent basis with a modern, high-end independent based in the South of England. They are looking to recruit within their flagship Winchester practice, which is the largest within the group and boasts a strong reputation for clinical excellence and patient care.This independent high street opticians, known for their forward-thinking approach and high standards in eyecare and hearing care, are looking to add to their team by recruiting an Optometrist to work 5 days a week, or alternatively 4 and 5 days on a rotating basis, including alternate Saturdays. NO SUNDAYS OR BANK HOLIDAYS.An enthusiastic and committed individual is required to join their busy and thriving Winchester practice. The branch runs double clinics and is supported by a friendly and knowledgeable team including qualified Dispensing Opticians, student DOs, and experienced Dispensing Assistants. With longer testing times, up-to-date equipment including OCT, and a strong focus on Ortho-K, this is an excellent opportunity for an Optometrist looking to develop clinically in a supportive and professional environment.Responsibilities of the OptometristThe ideal candidate will be a fully qualified Optometrist with a passion for delivering first-class patient care. Experience or interest in Ortho-K and enhanced services is particularly desirable. The practice offers 45-minute test times for private patients and 30 minutes for NHS, ensuring you have the time to focus on each patient's individual needs.Requirements of the OptometristMust be GOC registered
Newly qualified or experienced Optometrists welcome
Independent Prescribing qualification is a bonus
Interest in Ortho-K preferred
A friendly, team-focused attitude with excellent communication skills
A patient-first mindset and commitment to clinical excellenceCompensation for the OptometristIn return for your dedication and clinical skills, a highly competitive package is on offer:
Salary between 55,000 and 70,000 (depending on experience and IP qualification)
Full-time (40 hours), or alternate 4/5 days with alternate Saturdays
33 days holiday including Bank Holidays
Professional fees paid
No Sundays, Bank Holidays, or late nights
