- Assess current control programmes to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement best practices to enhance the quality and consistency of controls.
- Provide guidance and support to teams to standardise control processes.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and streamline control processes.
- Develop a roadmap for accelerated execution of control simplification initiatives.
- Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of simplification projects.
- Collaborate with functions that have not yet started control simplification.
- Develop tailored approaches for control simplification in these areas.
- Execute and oversee the implementation of these simplification initiatives
- Identify and remove duplicative roles and responsibilities between lines 1 and 2.
- Streamline assurance processes to reduce redundancy and increase efficiency.
- Implement changes to enhance the overall effectiveness of assurance activities
1. Define Requirements for a Control Testing Platform
- Gather and document requirements for a platform to automate control testing.
- Ensure the platform supports digitization of test scripts, execution of tests, and documentation of results.
- Work with UK ACG (Tech Team) and CIO Function team to develop the platform.
- Plan and manage the extension of the platform to the rest of the bank.
- Ensure the platform meets the needs of all stakeholders and functions effectively.
