(PCI) Student Recruitment OfficerJob Title: Student Recruitment OfficerCouncil: Training in Ministry, Union Theological CollegeSalary Scale: A5: £27,559 - £31,817 per annum, 35 hours per weekResponsible to: The Principal of Union Theological CollegeMAIN FUNCTION OF JOBTo contribute to the Christian ministry and mission of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland through the delivery of the duties outlined.Under the direction of the Principal of Union Theological College promote the work of Union Theological College (UTC) to prospective students, schools, colleges and partner organisations. The role supports the development and delivery of recruitment strategies with a view to ensuring recruitment targets are attained, enhancing UTC visibility and develop the college Alumni network.PREVIOUS APPLICANTS SHOULD NOT APPLYAbout the roleWork with the principal of UTC to develop and implement a recruitment strategy to optimise recruitmentProduce marketing and communication materials which support recruitment initiatives promote the work of UTC to enable recruitment across the available pathways;To represent the UTC in schools, colleges, education fairs and other relevant groups to promote the BA (Hons) Theology pathwayDeliver presentations and provide information about pathways and admissions processesServe as a point of contact to guide potential applicantsEngage with prospective students in person, by phone, email or online channelsMaintain accurate records of student inquiries, event attendance and recruitment outcomesProvide regular reports on recruitment activities, trends and conversation ratesRemain informed and up to date with an understanding of higher education issues in the UKCollaborate with faculty and staff to stay updated on programs and pathways that UTC offerTo adhere to the Equal Opportunity Policy and to promote equality of opportunity where possible;To work in accordance with other relevant workplace policies and procedures e.g. Health and Safety Policy, Data Protection Policy.Such other duties as are appropriate to the post as may be required by the Principal or the Union Theological College Management Committee.About the companyThe Presbyterian Church in Ireland (PCI) is a Reformed Christian denomination with congregations across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.   • Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in any subject
  • Candidate must have a knowledge of the post-primary educational system in Northern Ireland
  • Candidate must have at least 2 years' experience in a relevant marketing/recruitment role
  • Candidate must have experience of developing and implementing innovative marketing and or recruitment strategies
  • Candidate must have at least 3 years' experience in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Candidate must have experience of networking and building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external including school leadership
  • Candidate must have experience of developing and delivering presentation / information sessions through a range of platforms
  • Candidate must have experience of planning and delivering recruitment activities
  • Candidate must be willing to work within the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland and of Union Theological College
  • Candidate must have access to a car or transport for work purposes
Desired Criteria
  • Candidate must have a degree in education, marketing, business, communication, theology or a related field
  • Candidate must have OCR (RSA) Stage III Word-Processing or equivalent
  • Candidate must have a knowledge of the structures of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland
  • Candidate must have experience in student recruitment, sales, or admissions
  • Candidate must have experience of working within a target driven environment
  • Candidate must have experience of market research and analysis and or producing reports
  • Candidate must have experience of producing a range of marketing material for online and print
  • Candidate must have previous experience in the use of PowerPoint
