Hours of Work: Full-time (40 hrs per week, Monday–Friday)Overview:Hardman Grey Recruitment is partnering with a respected civil and structural consultancy established in 1985. We’re seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to lead structural design projects, commercial, residential, industrial, and education valued up to £30-50 million .The Principal Structural Engineer will be responsible for:
- Leading structural design and analysis of steel, concrete, timber, and masonry projects
- Managing multiple projects and allocating resources across engineers and technicians
- Representing the firm in meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Producing technical drawings, reports, and project documentation
- Ensuring project quality, compliance, and delivery to deadlines
- Building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships
- BEng or MEng in Civil/Structural Engineering with minimum 7 years’ postgraduate experience
- Chartered status (IStructE/ICE) or actively working toward it
- Proven design and structural analysis experience across common materials
- Proficiency in structural engineering software
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong project management capability
- Full UK driving licence and own transport
