DescriptionJob Advertisement: Year 5/6 Teacher (Immediate Start - Long-Term Sickness Cover) Location: South Lancaster Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Long-TermYear Group: Year 5/6Full-Time PositionA welcoming and supportive primary school in South Lancaster is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5/6 Teacher to join their team immediately to provide long-term sickness cover.This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is confident in delivering a high standard of teaching and learning to upper Key Stage 2 pupils. The role is full-time and is expected to continue throughout the current term, with potential for extension.Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
  • Support pupils of varying abilities, including SEN and EAL learners
  • Maintain positive behaviour management and foster a supportive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and SLT to ensure pupil progress
  • Complete ongoing assessments and reports as required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent experience teaching in Upper KS2, preferably Year 5/6
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A flexible, proactive and committed approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
