Location: Stagecoach Services Ltd, 20 Railway Road, Stockport, SK1 3SWContract Type: Fixed Term (24 months)Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP): Performance Value System (PVS) for a Decarbonised Bus DepotThis KTP will deliver a Performance Value System (PVS) to support Stagecoach's transition to an all-electric bus fleet, piloted at its Stockton depot and designed for future rollout across other depots.The PVS aims to capture, influence, and operationalise behaviour change among employees, passengers, and stakeholders using smart technologies and real-time data. It will drive workflow innovation and automation aligned with sustainable, low-carbon operations.Innovation Highlights:
  • Seamless integration of digital data across operations, workforce, and stakeholders.
  • A systemic framework to manage depot transitions company-wide.
  • A replicable PVS model to measure and maintain low-carbon performance.
Candidate Profile:You should be Master's qualified, ideally with a degree in engineering, IT, technology or data analysis, followed by a postgraduate qualification in business, operations, sustainability, or HR.Essential experience:
  • Experience in service and/or transport environments.
  • Hands-on with smart/digital HR systems, dashboards, and performance management.
  • Knowledge of HR and low-carbon management practices.
  • Experience using data tools (e.g., SPSS, R, AnyLogic, Power BI) and platforms (e.g., AWS, programmable logic controllers).
Desirable experience:
  • Familiarity with methodologies like Soft Systems, Value Stream Mapping, and QFD.
  • Understanding of sustainability and decarbonisation frameworks.
  • Strong independent and collaborative working abilities.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and monitor KPIs including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Overall People Effectiveness (OPE).
  • Engage staff through clear communication on the project's value and progress.
  • Evaluate data maturity and define data points for digital dashboard integration.
  • Identify systemic enablers for shifting from traditional to decarbonised performance management.
