Our client, an independent vehicle accident repair centre located in Cardiff, are currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA)/Estimator to join their busy bodyshop.Reporting to the Bodyshop Manager and working alongside another VDA/Estimator, you will be responsible for inspecting and assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, liaising with customers and insurance companies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role also includes maintaining detailed records and providing high levels of customer service to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.Do you need to be an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor to apply for this role? In short; no!Ideally you will have current or recent experience working as a VDA in a similar bodyshop with Audatex estimating systems experience; however, our client has mentioned that they're willing to consider candidates with a strong background in vehicle body repair looking to take the next step in their career in to this role as full training can be provided. An Automotive Technical Accreditation (ATA) would be advantageous but is non-essential to our client as they are willing to provide training for this. A UK driving license with minimal points is also essential. Overall, you will have strong communication skills, a focus on customer satisfaction, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and attention to detail and accuracy in assessing vehicle damage.What's in it for you?
