They are seeking a dedicated and patient SEN Teaching Assistant to join their caring and committed team as soon as possible on a full-time basis. This school prides itself on creating a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes independence, confidence, and a love for learning. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting both students and teachers to ensure every child can access a meaningful education.Key Information - SEN Teaching Assistant:
  • Location: Tilehurst
  • Pay: £85-£100 per day (dependent on experience)
  • Hours: Full-time (08:30-15:00, Term-time only)
  • Start date: ASAP
You could be an ideal SEN Teaching Assistant if you:
  • Have a genuine interest in working with children and young people with additional needs
  • Are calm, resilient, and nurturing in your approach
  • Hold a minimum Grade C/Level 4 in GCSE Maths and English
  • Have prior experience working with children or in a school/SEN setting
  • Are looking to build a career in special education, psychology, or therapeutic support
Day-to-Day Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
  • Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis in class and during interventions
  • Assisting with planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons
  • Helping students to develop communication, social, and life skills
  • Managing and responding to emotional and behavioural needs appropriately
  • Contributing to a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
