This is a temporary position with the potential for long-term work, offering a great stepping stone into a career in education.The Opportunity: What You'll Be Doing
  • Supervising Pre-planned Lessons: You will be responsible for overseeing pre-prepared lessons and ensuring students remain on task and engaged with the work set by the absent teacher.
  • Managing Classroom Behaviour: Maintain a positive, safe, and productive learning environment, applying the school's behavior policies effectively.
  • Supporting Student Learning: Respond to student questions about processes and procedures and provide general support to help them complete their assigned work.
  • Reporting Back: Provide clear and accurate feedback to the class teacher on student behavior and any issues that arose during the lesson.
  • Upholding School Standards: Adhere to all school policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and student welfare.

  • You have experience working with young people, ideally in a school or educational setting.
  • You possess strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • You are adaptable, reliable, and have a proactive approach to work.
