This role involves ensuring the quality of software documentation, playing a crucial part in the software release process within these highly regulated industries.Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive software documentation
  • Ensuring all documentation adheres to quality standards before software release
  • Collaborating with software developers to understand the documentation requirements for each project
  • Reviewing and updating existing documentation to meet current standards
  • Ensuring clarity, accuracy, and completeness of all technical documents
  • Managing and organising document repositories
  • Facilitating communication between various project stakeholders regarding documentation needs
  • Contributing to continuous process improvements for documentation management
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in software quality assurance and documentation
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Word and Excel
  • Understanding of the software development process and lifecycle
  • Proficiency in managing and organising technical documents
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capability to work independently and within a team
  • Security Clearance (SC) required to start, UK Eyes Only (UKEO)
Additional Information:
  • Location: Fully onsite in Bristol
  • Duration: 12 months with a possibility of extension
  • Work Pattern: Compressed work weeks are a possibility
  • No travel required
  • 1-stage virtual panel interview
  • Experience in formal safety software preferable (e.g., Rail, Healthcare, Nuclear, Aerospace, Defence)
