This is an excellent opportunity for someone with prior experience supporting children or young people with additional needs, looking to take the next step in their career.About the Role:As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students across the classroom with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. Your guidance will help them feel confident, included, and empowered to succeed in their learning.Key Responsibilities:Provide classroom-based support tailored to individual learning plansEncourage pupil engagement and participation in daily activitiesUse visual aids and simplified communication strategies to aid understandingBuild strong, positive relationships with pupils and staffSupport students’ emotional wellbeing and social development in a nurturing environmentRequirements:Some experience working with children or young people with SEN (in school, care, or youth work settings)A patient, caring, and flexible attitudeStrong communication and teamwork skillsWillingness to adapt and learn to meet the varied needs of studentsAn up-to-date CV and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
