You will be working 22.5 hours a week as a Part-time Social Worker, where you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team with a strong emphasis on teamwork at Sturt House at Walton on the Hill.You will have previous experience from the NHS or private care as you manage a complex caseload and be responsible for social care assessments, risk assessments, facilitate group activities, and will contribute to ICR meetings, supporting service users to make viable plans for their future.As a Social Worker, you report to the Clinical Services Manager, and will manage internal investigations and liaise with home authorities for service users during their admission and discharging process.A range of training opportunities are available that can see your career grow and you achieve your career aspirations.   • Referrals to Local Authority in line with safeguarding and assessments
  • Educating Hospital staff about relevant safeguarding matters.
  • Completing a full annual social care reassessment within the CPA format.
  • Facilitating access to welfare rights, housing, advocacy services and associated support services
  • Participating in 1:1 supervision
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • To have a Registration with Social Work England
  • Have a Social Work degree
  • Experience within similar environment
Where you will be working:Location: Sturt's Lane, Walton on the Hill, Surrey, KT20 7RQYou will be working at Sturt House, a recovery focused, rehabilitation unit providing specialist mental health treatment for males aged 18 and over. Working as part of a team, you will provide individualised care and treatment utilising least restrictive practice principles and safe practice to support Service Users in their recovery.Sturt House is committed to delivering a high standard of care, with the Service User encouraged and supported to be actively involved in the development and review of their treatment and pathway in accordance with their own abilities.What you will get:
