Executive Assistant - Business Development and Bid Management Support, £50k-£57k, 12-13 month fixed term contractOur client is a specialist insurance and reinsurance broker based in the City of London.The business development and bid management team have a requirement for an EA to cover a 12 month maternity leave plus handovers at each end. The handover periods and will ideally start mid-October 2025.This is a diverse EA role that supports a team of 6 and has research and operational/ marketing responsibilities, in addition to the usual diary/ travel/ expenses/ event management tasks.This is a hybrid role with a requirement to be in the office 1-3 days p/week. 9-5 hours Mon-Friday.Our client is keep to find an EA who has worked within and insurance business environment or, if not, financial services. Exposure to business development and marketing materials and process is advantageous.With the team's bid deadlines to work to, a calm and organised head is essential. A confident and friendly personality is required as is the willingness to 'muck in' with BD and bid operations when called upon.A 12 to 13 month fixed term contract is offered at £50-57k p/a to start October 25.Job SpecificationPurpose: To support the Specialty Broking central Business Development team across a number of different areas, including the Request for Proposal (RFP) response process.Responsibilities:- Support the Bid Manager, and others within the team, in the process on RFPs including the pre-qualification stage.- Work with all members of the team to assist in all activities that they are involved in relating to large corporate business development e.g. expenses, travel, diary management, inbox management (for one member) helping prepare meeting collateral, partake in meetings to take notes, project manage follow up meetings etc.- Assist in how the Business Development team works with the rest of the business in terms of attending conference - e.g. logistics, meeting room environment, dinner/prospect entertainment arrangements etc.- Liaising with other parts of the business including other specialty teams, IT, technical, legal, compliance, HR and finance when information is needed for particular RFPs.- Help proof-read commercial proposals which contain technical content and designs ensuring that these are presented in a professional and concise manner, ensuring all response documents are issued to a high standard, on brand and have compelling messages.- Liaise with Marketing relating to our marketing collateral, and the consistent need across the business.- Research and development of the top prospects in the UK and Europe- Maintain accurate data in relation to prospects across the business in the UK and EuropeSkills and Experience:- Insurance background needed.- Able to work to tight timescales particularly when assisting in RFP proposals.- &n
