- Task and Team Leadership: Able to co-ordinate, steer and direct a programme or project focussed business analyst team to achieve the required outcomes
- Quality Management: Assessing the quality of analysis work undertaken to ensure that outputs are meet key stakeholder and customer needs
- Stakeholder Engagement: Lead and coordinate senior stakeholder engagements for analysis tasks and discovery, leading to requirement development and supporting analysis findings.
- Requirements Management: Leading the approach to requirements management, ensuring consistent documentation and control whilst providing the high level view of completeness of all requirements within the boundaries of change that are evident. Assessing requirements for interdependency and prioritisation against business drivers
- Requirement to Solution Traceability: Ensure the traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle to ensure all requirements are addressed and changes are managed across the business analysis effort
- Value Stream & Process Analysis: Co-ordinate the analysis of business processes, customer journeys, and operational needs that provide supporting business rules and information interactions for requirements.
- Information & Data Analysis: Performing and overseeing the gathering, review, and analysis of business and industry data, to support the development of business requirements
- Solution Development: Convert gathered and analysed information into detailed specifications that drive the development of business and technology solutions.
- Collaboration & Liaison: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions address the original business problems effectively. Close co-ordination of the analysis team they may be responsible for.
- Supporting Transition to BAU: Working with technology and business units to help facilitate delivery through final testing, implementation and warranty periods
- Understands and follows project management methodology. End to end experience of the project lifecycle - able to describe the key elements of projects including initiation, governance, control and closure and can provide examples of active participation in all of these stages.
- Has the ability to use a range of BA tools and techniques to deliver BA artefacts responsible for.
- Can demonstrate experience in Agile and Waterfall development methods
- Has the ability to identify and escalate key issues (both technical or business) to the Project/Development Manager
- The ability to work with senior stakeholders to develop a long term strategy and shape the future road map for development in the context of programmes or projects
- Able to explain the end to end delivery journey to stakeholders and the value of each stage and it’s outputs to gain buy in and engagement
- Understands and has the ability to undertake the activities involved in the full programme or project lifecycle
- Understands and has the ability to develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, investment appraisals, cash flows, net present value, impact and risk analyses and benefits realisation.
- Has the ability to undertake high level and detailed analysis in order to produce Business Requirements Documents and Requirements Catalogues suitable for a business audience, including IT, Test & Training.
- The ability to create a visual depiction of a business process using flowcharts and process notation in order to identify potential improvements.
- The ability to document an end-to-end process, including interfacing upstream and downstream processes. Ability to document and communicate process interdependencies, risks and issues. Experienced in As is, To Be and Gap Analysis.
- Experience of working closely with development teams to support documentation and clarify queries. Ability to produce mock-ups and prototypes to be viewed by the business and development teams.
