Whether that's timely and accurate reporting to perform critical controls, or investigations into inefficiencies and improvement areas in our money movement network, data performs a central role in optimising our team's decisions and processes.Job DescriptionWe're on the hunt for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Treasury Money Movement team in Shoreditch, London.You'll be part of a team that fundamentally powers the Wise product and mission!What you'll be doing:Curating datasets, surfacing metrics, sizing opportunities, and deeper dive analysis to discover inefficiencies and optimise the team's approach to money movementBuilding and maintaining critical data pipelinesHunting down and diagnosing unusual behaviour or anomalies with our trades and paymentsLiaising with FX, Liquidity and Operations teams to understand how to improve processes to achieve lower costs and risks and these areasWho you areAdvanced SQL skillsExperience building data pipelinesStrong analytical ability3-5 years experience in similar rolesData visualisation and storytelling abilityAbility to self organise and manage stakeholdersDemonstration of impact/going above and beyond basic role requirementsPython/R for data manipulation and analysisUnderstanding of stats and statistical modelling (measures of central tendency, understanding of variance and testing, some regression modelling)DesirableDBTData modelling in a warehouse contextExperience working with financial or payments dataSome important stuff we would like you to knowTo meet our regulatory obligations as a licensed financial services company, Wise needs to conduct background checks on all new hires, which in the Finance team includes Criminal and Credit checks.
