- Thorough knowledge of Restraint Reduction Network Standards and BILD requirements.
- Understanding of legislation relevant to training delivery and safeguarding.
- Awareness of emotional impact and trauma-informed approaches.
- Awareness of current sector guidance around restraint reduction, person-centred practice, or trauma-informed care.
- Skilled at safe demonstration and instruction of physical interventions.
- Competent in using Teams / Zoom and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to contribute to continuous improvement processes through reflection and peer dialogue.
- BILD-ACT accredited certification in restraint reduction.
- Valid First Aid certificate (Basic or Immediate Life Support or First Aid at Work).
- Qualification in training delivery (e.g. AET, CTLLS) or willingness to work towards.
- Degree or equivalent lifelong learning.
- Additional CPD in person-centred care, safeguarding, or psychological support.
- Two years experience in training or facilitation in education or health/social care.
- Currently delivering or has recently delivered accredited restraint reduction training within organisation.
- Experience adapting delivery to diverse and emotionally complex groups.
- Experience collaborating with colleagues and learners across geographically dispersed and digitally connected teams.
