- IT Financial Management (ITFM): Closely monitoring IT expenditures, accounting for the financial impact of IT solutions, and ensuring that all IT-related expenses are properly managed.
- Budget Management:
- Creating, managing, and controlling the central IT budget, including forecasting, variance analysis, and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Oversight of AH in-market IT budgets, including consolidated reporting, planning and variance analysis.
- CoEs financial management: Financial management of 3 IT CoEs based in Europe.
- Control over costs of the CoEs including resources
- Maintaining and managing various recharge models (standard allocation, timesheet recharges, SaaS model, etc.) for CoE cost to ensure appropriate recovery
- Monthly reporting to CoE management on cost recovery/ shortfall and resource utilisation
- Keeping the time charge-out rate for resources updated to ensure full recovery
- Project Financial Management: Managing the financial aspects of IT projects and initiatives, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting, including business case preparation and investment analysis.
- Reporting and Forecasting:
- Developing and maintaining financial reports, forecasts, and models to track IT performance and inform decision-making.
- Monitor key financial performance indicators and variances related to technology investments and projects, providing insights and recommendations to leadership, including cost-benefit analysis and performance metrics.
- IT Cost Allocation: Allocating IT costs to different business units or projects based on usage, resource allocation or other appropriate metrics, ensuring compliance with transfer-pricing and tax rules.
- Recharge management: Managing a monthly recharge process to relevant business units/ markets on a timely basis, ensuring adequate recovery of costs.
- Standard recharge: Maintaining a budget model of standard monthly recharges, ensuring proper understanding of drivers of under/ over recovery
- Time/ usage-based recharge: Managing the process of time reporting of central and CoE resources to ensure proper recovery of costs.
- Pass-through costs: Ensuring all costs received in the central entity which are part of local budgets are appropriately passed on to the markets, along with adequate approvals.
- IT Cost Management: Analyze IT costs, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Cash Flow Management: Managing cash flow related to IT spending and ensuring adequate liquidity for the central IT entity as well as its subsidiaries.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, financial regulations and internal policies related to IT spending.
- Risk Management: Identifying and managing financial risks associated with IT investments and operations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicating financial information to IT management and other stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve IT financial processes and systems.
- Team Management: Supervising and managing a team of IT finance professionals, providing guidance, support, and training.
- Financial:
- Coordinating & reporting on AH IT budgets of $175M opex + $60M capex, per annum; plus
- Central recharge budget of $65M, per annum; plus
- Managing Pass-through costs in ABITSL of $25M, per annum
- 3 direct reports
- Working relationship with US based IT Finance leadership team
- Working relationship with AH in-country finance teams as well as country IT directors
- Extensive experience in IT finance, financial planning, and analysis, with a strong understanding of IT budgeting and cost management in a large multi-national corporation.
- Deep understanding of multi-country, multi- currency environments.
- Working knowledge of tax considerations in international transactions.
- Experience of managing large volume of multi-currency transactions processing
- Controllership and accounting GAAP experience
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with IT leadership and senior management.
- Strong analytical skills, financial modelling skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, and knowledge of accounting principles.
- In-depth knowledge of financial accounting principles, IT financial reporting standards, and IT industry trends.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
