The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a local multi-disciplinary construction consultancy, to recruit a Project Manager to join their team in Belfast. The organisation operates across Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying and Project Management disciplines. They have a strong project portfolio delivering quality schemes in a range of sectors including education, healthcare, hotel, retail and residential. Due to successfully being awarded new projects they now seek an experience Project Manager on a permanent basis.
Your new role
Reporting to the Project Management Partner, you will lead a variety of projects on behalf of a range of clients across the public and private sectors. Initially you will be responsible for overseeing a £multi-million mixed use development, based in a major UK city. You will manage the delivery of the project from pre-construction through to completion stage, whilst managing tender documents, appraisals and negotiations.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position you must have a construction related degree with a minimum of 6 years’ experience working as a Project Manager. You should also be Chartered with the RICS, APM or ICE. You must have a strong understanding of NEC and JCT contracts and be familiar and have experience of both pre and post contract roles. As Project locations vary you will be flexible to travel throughout the UK up to 3 days per week.
