If so, we'd love to hear from you!At Mencap, we're looking for a Practice Development Facilitator to join our Culture and Development team. In this role, you'll co-design and deliver impactful learning experiences that support our colleagues working directly with adults with a learning disability.The role is full-time (37.5 hours a week) on a permanent basis and is a hybrid home based role, with travel for face-to-face delivery sessions.You must be willing and have the ability to travel in the south of England (for example London, West Sussex, Hampshire and Wiltshire). This will be to deliver a portfolio of face-to-face workshops for colleagues in Personal Support. There may also be infrequent national travel to attend meetings and other events.
🔍 What will you do?
  • Deliver engaging induction and practice development workshops (face-to-face and virtual).
  • Conduct needs analyses to identify learning and performance gaps.
  • Collaborate with the Learning Experience team to design high-quality, inclusive learning interventions.
  • Provide coaching, advice, and guidance to colleagues across the organisation.
  • Stay up to date with legislation, compliance standards, and best practices in social care.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, curiosity, and professional development.
🧠 What will you bring?
  • Experience in delivering learning and development in health or social care.
  • Strong facilitation skills (virtual and in-person).
  • Knowledge of current social care legislation and best practices.
  • A passion for developing others and championing inclusion.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and influence others.
  • An adult teaching/training qualification or equivalent experience (desirable).
