Do you have excellent decision making, reporting and communication skills?If so, we are looking for a Treatment Operator to work in our Yeovil team, covering areas such as Yeovil, Sherborne and Wincanton.What you'll doYour role will involve:
  • the operation and maintenance of conventional sewage treatment plants and pumping stations to meet quality standards
  • running advanced wastewater treatment and sludge process plants
  • ensuring compliance with company policy, processes and procedures
  • ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all colleagues, the public and yourself at all times
  • working outside of normal working hours, including evenings and weekends.
What you'll needYou will need experience working unsupervised in an industrial or process plant.Mechanical experience would be desirable. Confined spaces training will be provided as part of role, however you will need to be eligible to work in confined spaces.This includes suitability to wear appropriate breathing apparatus and navigating tight spaces.   • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, maths, and a technical subject
  • to be happy working outside in all conditions
  • a valid driving licence, ideally with category BE
  • to be flexible in your approach to work.
