The company’s consolidated revenues for fiscal year 2022 (ended March 31, 2023) totaled 10,881.1 billion yen, with 696 consolidated subsidiaries and approximately 320,000 employees worldwide.What you’ll be doingCollaborate closely with the product managers, engineering and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of UX/UI designs with coding and marking technologies, bridging the gaps between user experience and technical implementation.Take lead roles on HMI projects and expect to set the standards of UX and how we work with other workstreams and teams within Hitachi Coding and Marking division.Shape user experiences and products using a range of tools and methods.Articulate and present your thoughts and creative ideas to teams and customers.Deliver solutions consistently and proficiently.Organise and facilitate design thinking workshops.Lead analysis, research, and visualization of a customer challenges to articulate a creative design solution.What you bring to the team:We’re looking for a team player, who is motivated by delivering great work and the Hitachi vision.The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and background:5+ years’ exposure to coding and marking technologies used in various industries, such as inkjet printing, laser marking, thermal transfer printing, etc. This includes knowledge of different substrates, inks, coding standards, and compliance requirements.Familiarity with software platforms commonly used in coding and marking systems, such as printer and coding equipment software, as well as integration with enterprise systems for data management and traceability.Experience working closely with customers in industries such as manufacturing, packaging, pharmaceuticals, or logistics to understand their specific requirements and provide tailored coding and marking solutions that meet their needs.A strong portfolio of work which demonstrates high attention to detail, deep understanding of design principles, and creative solutions.5+ years' experience of UX, Interaction Design and/or Visual Design across varied users, business problems, and devices.5+ years of experience planning, designing, facilitating workshops.5+ years creating experience maps, user journeys, interaction models, flows, and wireframes.5+ years' experience with rapid prototyping methods, ranging from paper sketching to digital prototypes.Solid knowledge of design tools like Figma or Sketch -- from wireframes to highly polished design deliverables.Working knowledge of brand and digital marketing principles, coupled with proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.Good understanding of interaction, visual design, and accessibility principles.Able to review products and systems from best-practice perspective (e.g., usability) and provide recommendations for improvements.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, enabling you to identify areas for improvement in design, brand, UX, and web.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, allowing you to work effectively across teams both remotely and onsite, and adapt to changing requirements and priorities.Design thinking methods and UX artefacts (e.g., user scenarios, wireframes, UI prototypes).Research execution and analysis.Trend monitoring.Collaborate seamlessly, fostering open and effective communication, explaining UX gains to the teams.Embrace creativity and explore groundbreaking solutions.Benefits Package:Company Funded Benefits:Along with a market competitive salary and discretionary bonus scheme, employees have the option to work flexibly in line with our hybrid working model and we would be happy to discuss this with you during the hiring process.Generous holiday entitlement - with the option to buy up to an additional 5 days per yearA Holiday Banking scheme allowing you to bank untaken holiday to use another yearGroup Personal PensionPrivate Medical Insurance with self-funded option to cover family membersEmployee Assistance Programme available to all employeesPersonal Accident InsuranceVoluntary Benefits (funded by employee) including:Cycle To Work schemeGym MembershipDental Insurance with option to include dependent childrenHealth screeningDining cardOur Values:We are proud to say we are an equal opportunity employer and welcome all applicants for employment without attention to any factor that doesn’t impact your ability to do the job, including race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.
