- Providing support to classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities across various subjects and year groups.
- Assisting with classroom management and behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Working with small groups or individual students to provide targeted support and intervention, including those with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND).
- Supporting the inclusion and participation of all students in classroom activities and school events.
- Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to ensure the smooth running of daily routines and activities.
- Adapting to different teaching environments and following lesson plans provided by classroom teachers.
- Maintaining records of student progress, behaviour, and any other relevant information as required.
- Relevant experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably within a primary school environment.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or equivalent qualification.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective learning strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classrooms and year groups as required.
- Empathy, patience, and resilience to work with students with a range of abilities and needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following instructions and using initiative when required.
